Fiverr Review – Legit or Scam?

Fiverr review (final)

In this post, I'm going to give you my 2018 Fiverr review. Fiverr is a platform that you can use to outsource and build your online business.

Part of building an online business involves knowing how to scale your business and free up your time because we're all here to build an online business and to create a lifestyle of freedom. In other words, we don't have to spend all of our time doing all of the mundane tasks associated with building an online business.

What is Fiverr?

Fiverr is an online platform which you can use to find people to outsource work. Fiverr is spelled with an extra “r.” It is very similar to Upwork. Upwork is another place that you can find freelancers and pay them to do specific job-related tasks for you.

So, which one should you use?

I am going to tell you why Fiverr is much better for most tasks associated with entrepreneurs trying to build an online business.

Why Fiverr is better…

The nice thing about Fiverr is that prices can be very cheap because of the vast number of people working through Fiverr from other third-world countries so the pay scale is a lot lower (meaning they're willing and able to work for a much lower payroll or salary or payment).

For example, someone might be willing to do graphics and design for you that lives in India or Pakistan or the Philippines. They might be willing to do something for you for five dollars. Whereas, if you would hire someone on Upwork from the United States, they might charge you a hundred dollars for the exact same results.

These people are very talented. Don't let it fool you that just because someone is from Pakistan or India that they're not good at their craft. These people are very skilled at what they do and they do quality work.

I've ordered many times from many different sellers on Fiverr and I've been very pleased with the results. As an entrepreneur, or someone who's building an online business, let's think about some of the tasks we might need done for us that maybe we're not qualified to do ourselves or maybe we just don't have the skill or talent to do ourselves.

Maybe we need a logo designed and we're not very good with Photoshop or we're just plain not creative.

Let's say you are looking for someone to do a logo design on Fiverr. There are a ton of people offering services of graphic design. Some options are really, really good and they've got great reviews. Most people have examples of logos that they have designed. Most of them look really awesome, really professional, very crisp and clean- and a lot of the time you can get that done for thirty dollars! If you were to pay someone in the United States (like I mentioned above) do this they'd probably charge you a hundred dollars or more.

I've actually seen people quote logo designs at a thousand dollars when all the while you can get it on Fiverr for thirty dollars. The nice thing, too, is they'll give you unlimited revisions. If you don't like something, you can come back and say “Actually, can we change that color or maybe change the font?” They will change it for you for free. Awesome, huh!

You'll find people from Pakistan, India, the Philippines, Nigeria, Bangladesh- a lot of third-world countries where, for them, thirty dollars is a lot of money. Thirty dollars for them is like three hundred dollars for us. For us it might really seem cheaper but for them it's a lot of money and is a good job to be working and selling their services on Fiverr.

You will see a lot of people who sell different packages (so you can do upgrades and other things), but I always look at the “frequently asked questions” because there's a lot of good questions and answers contained in that section.

Always Read Reviews

always read reviews.

I read a lot of reviews before I purchase from someone on Fiverr. I'll read all the reviews and I make sure and read any negative reviews (if applicable). If they don't have any negative reviews, that's great! Even if there's only one or two negative reviews that just really make me feel uneasy, I'll go find someone else because there are a ton of people on there to choose from who all put out really good work and for very similar prices.

It pays to do a little bit of research to find a good seller, but in my experience, Fiverr is very safe and I've had really good results.

One time I had a little logo designed. It cost me seven dollars to get the logo designed. We messaged back and forth, I sent in all the requested information and in return I received several variations. It was that simple to have my logo designed! It only took a couple days from start to finish-which is so awesome!

What are different ways you can use Fiverr?

Think about all the many tasks that you might need completed for your business-whether it's logo design, blog article writing, transcription, or video editing. There is always a variety of different tasks that we need completed for our online business. Some of them we might want do for ourselves, but for other tasks, it might be more beneficial for us to outsource and free up time to do other things.

I talk to everyone that I meet about this. A lot of people ask me questions like, “Andy, how do you scale your online business? How do you take your business to the next level?”

I talk to so many bloggers in Facebook groups who are saying stuff like “I'm not getting traffic to my blog. I'm not making any money from my blog. My blog doesn't look good.” And these are people who have been blogging for years! Like one said,”I've been blogging for 3 years and I just made my first 50 dollars.” !!!! What have they been doing with their blog? What is their strategy? How are they scaling their business? People don't realize they need to have a business mindset when they're building their website or their blog or their YouTube channel (or whatever it is that they're doing).

Make Your Money Work For You

This is what I tell people all the time. Work on your online business as much as you can. Once you start making some money, make that money work for you. Don't go out and buy a new watch. Don't go out and buy a new car. Don't buy things that you don't need.

Once you start to see some income coming in from your blog, reinvest that income into your business.

I started my website and YouTube channel from my iPhone. I literally went downstairs in my basement, put on my iPhone and filmed a video. I didn't have a microphone. I didn't have any fancy lighting. I really didn't have anything. I just took my iPhone and started. As soon as I started making a little bit of money, I invested everything back into my business.

Today, I've been able to buy everything that I need for my online business – all the tools and all the software. I have to spend a hundred dollars a month for AH reps. I spend a hundred dollars a month for virtual assistants. I spend forty dollars a month for email services. I buy all these programs and services and I outsource a lot of work to other people so that I can scale my business.

You'll quickly learn that if you try to do everything yourself, your business is going to crawl along like a snail. You're gonna be limited by your own time and your own experiences. If you try to take every cent from your business and tuck it away or go buy a watch or an XBox with it, you will still be grinding away, trying to build your business, making the same amount of money month-to-month.

If you want to grow your business, you need to make your money work for you. Fiverr is a great way to do that.

On Fiverr, you can find anything for your online business. You can even buy Intros and Outros. If you want an intro for your YouTube channel, you can get one made for twenty dollars. Seriously! For twenty dollars, someone will make you a fancy little intro that pops up your logo and everyone will just say “Wow, dude, that's so professional! How did you do that?”

Literally, I've paid someone twenty dollars on Fiverr to make an intro that I put on my videos.

It's that simple.

I do completely recommend Fiverr for anyone who's looking to outsource some of their work.

You don't need to be afraid of sellers on Fiverr because you can always do your homework. Read the reviews, make sure they have a lot of good reviews, make sure people are ordering from them, and message them. I've messaged tons of sellers before I actually buy from them. I asked them questions and get a feel for what kind of work they've done. I have asked for samples of their previous work, and, if I feel good about it, I make the order.

The nice thing about Fiverr, too, is that if you're not happy, you can reject the order and get your money back. It's one hundred percent safe if you feel uneasy about ordering from someone. I absolutely, one hundred percent recommend Fiverr.

Go check out Fiverr!  Browse around and see what kind of services are available. I would challenge you to look for creative ways to outsource some of the work that you're doing right now for your online business that someone else could do for you better and cheaper.

Remember, your time is money. If your time is worth fifty dollars an hour and you're spending hours doing a task someone else could do for five dollars, you're essentially wasting money. You're losing money doing it yourself. So, look for creative ways to outsource your work.

Make sure you keep coming back because we're gonna talk a lot more about business strategies and technologies that you can use to build an online business and create life of freedom.
